Home > Covid-19 Update 07/15/2021

Update July 15 – On July 16 our province moves into Stage 3 re-opening. In this stage non-essential retail’s capacity is increased from 25% to ‘capacity limited to ensure physical distancing (2 meters)’ and casinos, bingo halls, and other gaming establishments are limited to 50% capacity within distancing guidelines. For TGG this means our capacity will increase from 6 to 12 and we will not be starting in-store gaming yet. We could start within 2 meter distancing guidelines but that was not a positive experience for players when we did that in 2020 and we want to provide the best experience possible when we return to in-store events. Stage 3 is the final stage in the re-opening plan and after that the expected precautions will allow for a return to fun and safe in-store play with reasonable capacity. We hope you are as excited as we are to get unplugged from home electronics and play some tabletop games; we are in the home stretch!

Update June 30
Our area has entered stage 2 of the reopening plan and we can now have 6 customers in the store at a time. All other covid safety measures remain in place as required. We continue our extended reopening hours and are open 6 days a week 10am-6pm, closed Tuesdays. Our retail showrooms have been completely redone and we are looking forward to in-store gaming and preparing the game rooms to be better than ever.

Get unplugged from your covid nest of computer wires and Netflix remotes; come down to TGG and get into the most popular gaming brands in the world. Get setup for 2 or more players in any of the 3 biggest trading card games for less than $40, pick up a models plus paints kit and paint some amazing miniatures for under $50, or try out a Dungeons & Dragons starter set ideal for 4-6 players for under $30. Not sure where to start? We are here to help!

Update Mar 1

LOCAL COVID-19 – As of today we have entered into ‘GREY-LOCKDOWN’ which requires us to restrict capacity to 25% and continue actively screening people that enter with the 3 Covid-19 screening questions. During ‘Lockdown’ up to 6 customers can shop in the store at a time. We are not Walmart and we don’t anticipate having to restrict entry very often since without running events we rarely have more than 6 customers in the store at one time.

We are open for INSTORE, CURBSIDE, LOCAL DELIVERY, and CUSTOMER SERVICE

Games Workshop – With the serious weather in Tennessee GW has had to close the North American warehouse temporarily and is not shipping orders. We expect it to be back open late this week or early next week and begin receiving orders again. Since there have been shipping delays ongoing from GW before this orders affected by this warehouse closure may be delayed 1-2 weeks in addition to GW’s current shipping turnaround time as explained on the last TGG Covid Update. Thank you for your patience as they return to operations.

Pokemon – The first wave of some Shining Fates products are set to arrive this week and we will have extra of some items, but we have not added stock online until we confirm we have the extra in our hands. We will update availability and price asap on those items. If you would like to be contacted about purchasing some let us know and we will contact you before we list it online.

Games Workshop – Games workshop continues to focus on making sure new release orders get shipped on time and have fallen behind on shipping restocks. They are on an apx 2 week turnaround time to process wholesale restock orders. This has caused delays in our order fulfillment but we are just as on top of things as normal so orders will be filled asap while working with these delays.

Pokemon – Shining Fates is said to be just as short printed as Champion’s Path was last year with possible delays as stock comes out in waves. We have stocked a minimal amount we expect to get on our preorders which are nearly sold out. We expect to be able to fill all those orders and get some more stock to sell but until we know for sure we can’t add anymore stock to those items. If you want them you can add an email reminder on that product listing and our site will automatically email you when we have restocked it.
